Summary

Sargam Apartment Housing scheme was launched by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) in 2010. Lucknow Development Authority invited bookings for more than 600 flats of different sizes. Some flats got booked but the public showed little interest back then. Work was stalled for 4 years till 2017 due to disputes with farmers whose land was acquired for the housing project.
In this time, the allottees started demanding their money back. They were promised to be allotted flats in a different scheme but that process never started. After the issue with the farmers was resolved LDA relaunched the scheme in 2015 to book the remaining flats. Allottees finally got possession in 2018 and 2019. RERA imposed fine on LDA due to delay in granting possession to the allottees in July 2019.
